Agricultural inputs distributed to Farmers in Charhajare

Charhajare | 4 October 2026: The Sangai Foundation distributed a range of agricultural fertilizers and Rabi seeds to local cultivators of Charhajare Village as part of its continued efforts to support farming activities, strengthen rural livelihoods and encourage productive agricultural practices in the community.

Agriculture plays an important role in the lives and livelihoods of rural communities. Access to appropriate agricultural inputs such as fertilizers and quality seeds can help farmers make better use of their land and improve their seasonal cultivation. With this in mind, the Foundation undertook the distribution programme to provide practical support to local cultivators.

The agricultural inputs distributed included Tag Mahashakti PROM, Khaitan Single Super Phosphate (SSP), Paras Single Super Phosphate (SSP), Bharat MOP (Muriate of Potash) and various Rabi crop seeds.

The fertilizers provide different nutrients required for healthy crop growth. Tag Mahashakti PROM, a Phosphate Rich Organic Manure (PROM), was included as an organic source of phosphorus and is intended to support soil fertility and gradual nutrient availability.

Khaitan SSP and Paras SSP are phosphatic fertilizers that provide phosphorus along with sulphur and calcium. These nutrients play an important role in root development, plant growth and the cultivation of crops such as pulses and oilseeds.

The programme also included Bharat MOP (Muriate of Potash), a potassium-rich fertilizer containing potassium oxide. Potassium is an important nutrient for overall plant growth and crop development. Along with the fertilizers, various Rabi seeds were distributed to support cultivators in taking up seasonal crops during the Rabi cultivation period.

The distribution included both organic and conventional agricultural inputs. The Foundation believes that farmers should have access to appropriate inputs according to their crops, soil conditions and cultivation requirements.

By making different types of fertilizers available at the community level, the initiative aimed to give local cultivators practical support for their farming activities. The inclusion of organic manure such as PROM also reflects the Foundation’s interest in encouraging approaches that can contribute to long-term soil health when used appropriately.

The Foundation encourages cultivators to use fertilizers responsibly and according to the requirements of their crops and soil. Appropriate use of agricultural inputs is important not only for crop productivity but also for maintaining healthy soil and protecting the surrounding environment.

For The Sangai Foundation, agriculture is closely connected with rural livelihood development. Supporting farmers with useful agricultural inputs is one of the practical ways through which the Foundation can contribute to the local community. Such programmes also provide an opportunity for the Foundation to interact directly with cultivators, understand their needs and encourage greater participation in agricultural and livelihood-related initiatives.

The Foundation believes that stronger rural communities can be built by supporting local skills, knowledge and livelihood opportunities. Agriculture, when supported with appropriate resources and responsible practices, can play an important role in this process.

The Sangai Foundation will continue to explore practical initiatives that support agriculture, livelihood promotion, environmental responsibility and community development.
