Who We Are

The Sangai Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation established with the purpose of contributing to the social, economic and environmental development of communities. Founded in July 2026 and formally incorporated as a Section 8 Company on 15 July 2026, the Foundation was created with a broad charitable mandate covering education, healthcare, skills and livelihoods, sustainable development, environmental conservation, entrepreneurship, humanitarian assistance and community welfare.

Our work is guided by the belief that development is most meaningful when people have the knowledge, capabilities and opportunities to shape their own future. We seek to work at the grassroots level while building partnerships with institutions, government bodies, communities, organisations and individuals who share a commitment to public welfare.

The Foundation is intended to serve as a platform through which ideas, resources, expertise and community participation can come together to address practical social and developmental needs.

We look beyond immediate assistance wherever possible and encourage solutions that can continue to benefit communities over the longer term. Our programmes are intended to reach people across different sections of society, with particular attention to children, women, youth and disadvantaged communities.

Our Vision

We envision a society in which people have access to knowledge, opportunities and essential support, and where communities are equipped to shape their own development. We aspire to contribute to a future that values human dignity, social inclusion, environmental responsibility and sustainable progress.

Our Mission

We work to address social and developmental needs through programmes that connect education, skills, livelihoods, health, environmental responsibility and community welfare. We seek to build capabilities, encourage self-reliance, support vulnerable groups and promote solutions that respond to the realities faced by communities.

What We Stand For

Our work extends beyond any single sector. We recognise that education, livelihoods, health, environmental sustainability and social wellbeing are closely connected. A young person may need both education and skills to find sustainable employment; a farming community may need better agricultural practices alongside access to markets and financial knowledge; and a community affected by environmental or humanitarian challenges may require both immediate assistance and longer-term recovery.

For this reason, The Sangai Foundation takes a multi-sectoral and community-oriented approach, allowing its programmes to respond to different needs while remaining focused on long-term development.

We seek to improve awareness and access to basic healthcare through health programmes, medical camps, preventive-health initiatives, nutrition and sanitation awareness, blood donation activities and assistance for people who may otherwise struggle to access essential support.
We support formal and informal education, digital literacy, computer education, scholarships, educational materials, career guidance and learning opportunities for children, youth and economically disadvantaged sections of society. We also seek to encourage access to emerging technologies and digital platforms as tools for learning and inclusion.
Agriculture and allied activities remain important sources of livelihood for many communities. The Foundation seeks to promote scientific and sustainable farming, organic practices, crop diversification, horticulture, water conservation and farmer capacity building, alongside initiatives in livestock, dairying, poultry, fisheries and aquaculture.
We promote vocational training, employability, entrepreneurship, financial literacy and capacity building to help individuals develop practical skills and pursue sustainable sources of income. Our work may include mentoring, incubation, enterprise development and support for self-employment.
Environmental responsibility is an integral part of our work. Our initiatives may include afforestation, biodiversity conservation, waste management, recycling, water conservation, renewable energy, climate awareness and other environmentally responsible practices that contribute to sustainable communities.
The Foundation also recognises the importance of research and evidence-based action in social development. We may undertake surveys, studies, impact assessments, documentation and publications relating to education, skills, sustainability, social welfare and community development.
